ABOUT
What is the International Student Hackathon?
Building on the success of the 2025 Hackathon, this year’s edition brings together international student teams to tackle real-world industry challenges. Participants collaborate across disciplines, combining logistics, IT, telematics, and engineering expertise to develop innovative solutions.
The Hackathon runs in parallel with the Logistics Congress, Telematics Conference, and Academic Symposium, providing a unique opportunity to connect with professionals and gain hands-on experience in the heart of the industry.
We have a winning team!
The winning team of the international hackathon is FriFlow. On April 10, during the closing day of the Logistics Congress, they presented a solution for optimizing warehouse and distribution processes in the company Frigologo. The proposed solution includes digitalization (RFID and WMS), automation using Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), and organizational improvements such as ABC slotting and cross-docking. The goal is to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve warehouse responsiveness.
The system enables better inventory control, faster order picking, and optimal product placement based on usage frequency. Standardization at the pallet level further simplifies operations.
In the field of distribution, delivery routes (7 routes) were optimized using specialized software, with deliveries carried out twice per week. An efficient loading method based on delivery sequence was also introduced, reducing unloading time and minimizing errors.
The overall approach integrates warehousing and transport into a single, efficient logistics system that ensures better resource utilization, lower costs, and reliable, sustainable operations.
Congratulations!
Special thanks also to the teams Flow Six and Re-Logi Team, who impressed with their solutions to the Cold Challenge – Frigologo Smart Warehouse & Delivery Flow: from order to delivery. The teams worked on proposals to optimize the flow of goods and information in the cold chain, considering constraints such as shelf life, pallets, and delivery frequencies.
